Matt Hawkins
A Star On The Rise
Don't be fooled by Matt Hawkins' young age.  At 19, he's already accomplished more in racing than drivers three times his age.  Even more amazing is that his star is continuing to rise.
When most kids his age were still playing in the sandbox, Matt was getting down and dirty in the driver's seat.  At just four years old, Matt jumped on a competitive four-wheeler where the youngster became a dominant force in just a short period of time.  His four-wheeler career was highlighted by dozens of feature-event victories and even more top-five finishes.

From the competitive four-wheeler circuit, it was on to the go-kart circuits throughout the Southeast.  Matt got behind the wheel for his first race and captured the victory with several more to follow over the next couple of years.  Matt won over 100 go-kart races including the Triple Crown for the Georgia Dirt Series in 2002 and 2003 and the 2003 World Karting Association Briggs Junior Lite National Champion.

Domination in go-karts led to even more success in Super Late Model competition.  Since getting behind the wheel of a Super Late Model, Matt has done it all, including winning the prestigious 2005 Southern All-Star Series Championship and Rookie of the Year in addition to racing well in some of the premier Super Late Model events in the country.

In 2006 Matt  continued his quest to become among the elite young drivers in the country with an extensive Super Late Model schedule.  That schedule paid off as he walked away with three victories, two coming in the competitive GAS series and the other coming in the Snowflake 100 event, part of the famous Snowball Derby Weekend.

2007 has Matt moving up the ladder, where he will compete full time in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Southern Division.  There he will continue working his way up with aspirations of success in the premier divisions of stock car racing within his reach.
